Session 2: To the Citadel!

We returned to the frantic fight and flight in Urbandur as Lt. Pawrith urged you and Erda to help him evacuate the citizens of the lower city to the central square, where Captain Wrata would rally everyone to the citadel.  After clearing a building or two of people, and maybe some coins, Orcs started coming through the breach in the wall.  Two were armed with guisarmes and one with a great axe.

With some determination, grit, and grappling vines and branches our heroes slaughtered them all, With Myrna delivering a killing blow to one of the ravagers :)

Kyras, Myrna, Sanyll, and Grissle joined Erda and Lt. Pawrith in the central square and went north with the column of civilians on their way to shelter at the citadel.  The column was attacked a few times even after the gates had come down between the lower and upper city, including one worg attack that happened right near where the characters were moving with the column.  It was a bloody fight, but when the snow settled everyone was alive, even the city guard who was gravely wounded in the attack.

Passing by a team of city guards and civilians foraging supplies from the nearby businesses and homes, our heroes restored themselves with potions of healing, and even grabbed up some modest new gear as well.

The citadel proved to be no great shelter when they arrived, the remhoraz emerged and attacked four citadel guards and pulled Captain Fallow of the upper city and began to tear him apart.  More invaders from beyond the city walls were approaching from a breach in the eastern wall, two armed commoners, one armed elf, and an armed halfling.

Erda and Grissle squared off to face these new attackers, as Sanyll helped the civilians find a new path to the next likely shelter, the mine.

Xp so far: 917!

Loot!  after healing up y'all still had two potions of cure moderate wounds, I think Kyras and Grissle ended up with them.  Kyras also scored a potion of alter aura, and Grissle lifted a suit of half plate from a slain orc, as well as a guisarme.  Nicely done everyone!
