Finding Ellemere and The Mage Sojol

The three orcs didn't stand a chance.  Cut down by sword, tooth and club they fell and added another strata to the charnel terrain of the Citadel's invaded halls.  Following Stalvar, Courage and Kyras sneaked ahead to find the source of the grunting smashing violence that they could hear at the entrance to the High Guard's arsenal.  Kyras crept close, and at the last moment the laboring brute within the armory thought he heard a sound.  He stopped his hammering, slowed his ragged breathing and sniffed the air.  A roll of the dice, and Kyras evaded the usually keen nose of the Urzhut.  He fired his crossbow, wounded the hulking villain and fell back where his comrades could aid him.  Then, the fight was over surprisingly quick.  Divine inspiration, a cunning magical entanglement, and a few well placed blows were the end of the brute.

Stalvar's sister Ellemere was within the armory, The baroness had been killed.  She and Stalvar headed back to the Baron and Captain Fallow.  They told you how you could find the Baron's Mage if he still lived, and the party split up.  Grissle, not content to merely search for noble life was bent on rescuing as many ordinary citizens from the Citadel as possible as well.  The rest agreed and they all made their way, room to room, and let people know of a clear path to safety through the halls and finally meeting up in the remhoraz's tunnel.

The party found their way to the main hall, from which they could then ascend the stairs to the Mage's Tower.  But standing in their way, but also kind of creating a useful hole in the wall, was a juvenile remhoraz.  In spied them, and surged toward them.  While it rampaged across some of the ruined table and chairs, and around the enormous hole that it and the adult Remhoraz had made in the center of the great hall's floor, it destroyed even more furniture and was pretty intimidating.  But, with some crossbow work, sword play, and enduring the burning chitin of the beast the heroes dispatched the beast. 

Grissle and Kyras had an amusing contest to determine who could get beyond the door or through the wall first so that they could go and get the mage.  I actually forget if one beat the other.  I kind of think it was a draw, or maybe Grissle won on points :)  Y'all will have to remind me.

Up the stairs and into the Mage's study and the heroes awaken to violence two skeletal champions that the Mage has charged with defending his apartment from intruders.  That was a tougher fight.  Those skeletons were not messing around, and those swords hurt like hell.
But the group made it through and found the Mage up in his bedchambers.  He introduced himself as Sojol, and went with the party back to meet up with Stalvar, the Baron, Captain Fallow and Ellemere, as well as the surviving citizenry.

As they arrived back in the cellars below the citadel's main level, right near where the remhoraz's tunnel intersects they came on Stalvar fighting two wolves and another Urzhut.  He slashes the throat of a wolf and then the other wolf snags his arm and brings him down as the Urzhut raises his heavy morning star to deliver a brutal blow to the Baron's son.  Well done everyone!
